WVU Parkersburg provides accessible, life-changing, educational opportunities in a safe and supportive environment.  Founded in 1961, WVU Parkersburg is an independently-accredited community and technical college.  Although it was originally part of WVU, it is now an independent public institution with its own board of governors and degree-granting authority. Conceived as a community college to serve seven counties in west central West Virginia, it now offers baccalaureate programs.  It is the largest community college in West Virginia and the state's fifth largest public college.  WVU Parkersburg is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission.  The Main campus is located on the outskirts of the city of Parkersburg and includes the primary building, Workforce and Community Education building, and the Caperton Center for Applied Technology. as well as a newly renovated Jackson County campus in Ripley, WV, and the recently purchased campus for the new ITC--Incubator Technology Center in Vienna, WV--expecting to open in Fall 2025.  For more information on programs offered: https://www.wvup.edu/future-students/academics/
