Job Description

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Primary responsibility will be driving business and sales growth for Online Solutions with focus on our Bearing and Lubrication monitoring portfolio 
  • Determine sales call frequency for all assigned customers and make personal sales calls 
  • Develop and maintain relationships with management personnel of major customers and other personnel in various functional departments such as engineering, purchasing, maintenance, and production 
  • Work cohesively with the Regional Managers; promote an overall team approach within UE Systems 
  • Promote new products and product improvements 
  • Develop differentiation and value selling skills 
  • Provide directions to inside sales staff concerning the structure and content of quotations 
  • Gain and maintain detailed knowledge of competitors’ offerings and sales organizations 
  • Develop subject matter expertise on the Online Solutions portfolio, co-ordinate, technical presentations, demonstrations and seminars  
  • Keep abreast of and advise competitive market information such as new products, pricing strategies, and market directions 
  • Prepare a yearly forecast of sales volume for assigned territory and make recommendations for increasing customer relations 
  • Engage when required in all aspects of Online Solutions principals’ product and service delivery to ensure customer satisfaction and continued preference 
  • Work with UE Systems’ customers to understand their needs and preferences for our relevant products and services. In conjunction with our sales and training teams, formulate, communicate and implement plans to successfully deliver on these opportunities 
  • Preparation of timely documentation/reports on sales activities 
  • In-depth knowledge on all of the UE Systemsproducts & training and the ability to communicate & apply that knowledge to projects 
  • Commissioning and ongoing support – Support and/or lead execution of Online Solutions projects as required 
  • Technical seminars & presentations 
  • Develop content and conduct live demonstrations & formal presentations that communicate the capabilities and value of our solutions 

 
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED 

  • Knowledge of rotating equipment controls and automation 
  • Functional knowledge of primary predictive technologies such as vibration, infrared thermography, oil analysis Ultrasonic and Electric Motor Diagnostic/Motor Current Analysis 
  • Strong product and application understanding of equipment reliability 
  • Valid driver’s license, as travel is required 
  • Technical/systems knowledge including: 
  • Corporate Historian Systems such as OSISoft, PI, AspenTech IP.21, Honeywell PHD/Uniformance or related products 
  • Operational & Enterprise Data lakes, Cloud-based data repositories (MS Azure, Amazon AWS, Google Bigtable, etc.) 
  • Operational Technology Systems such as PLC’s, DCS, and SCADA Systems 

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS 

  • University Undergraduate Degree, College degree or similar military experience in a technical field 
  • 2-5 years of sales, business development, or account management experience. 
  • Previous experience in sales/marketing of reliability technology – diagnostic, prediction, or protection systems is an asset 
  • Previous experience in a maintenance engineering or reliability engineering role is preferred
