Based out of Medford, OR. Facilitate the implementation of the Wood Products Division reliability strategy across manufacturing operations to ensure reliability and maintainability of equipment and processes. Lead on-site growth of reliability concepts to improve the maintenance organization and to design and implement long-term continuous improvement systems. Lead implementation and maintenance of equipment standards, processes, and work practices. Ability to facilitate RCAs/FMEAs and solution implementation as needed, conduct equipment criticality ranking, build of BOMs for equipment, centerline equipment, and optimize preventative maintenance. Track and report performance against desired results. Ability to interact seamlessly with all levels of the organization and collaborate with appropriate personnel on reliability activities. Capable of communicating and influence change in others. Demonstrating strong commitment on safety, quality, environmental awareness, and continuous process improvement. Should have the capability and desire to: develop and implement division-wide reliability strategies; ensure complete integration of the current continuous improvement activities and reliability practices; monitor performance against desired results and manage as required; and work with regions and plants on implementation of common reliability metrics and tracking activities. 50% travel may be required.
Bachelor of Science in engineering, reliability, or equivalent professional experience. Minimum of 5 years of mechanical maintenance experience and a demonstrated mechanical aptitude. Demonstrated and proven success in a maintenance department leadership role. Must be able to comprehend mechanical, electrical, and reliability systems in a manufacturing environment. Must be able to understand and lead cultural change efforts. Must be able to understand industrial costs and controls. Some travel required, as needed to support assigned responsibilities.
Prefer a candidate who lives within a commutable distance to our Medford, Oregon facilities. Relocation assistance considered for qualified candidates. More than 10 years of experience in related job function. Experience working with computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) such as Maximo. Specific knowledge of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and associated tools. Candidates with 2-5 years of operational experience to complement their reliability experience will be given strong consideration. Familiarity with equipment in the wood products manufacturing industry a bonus. Certified Maintenance Reliability Professional (CMRP) or other lubrication, vibration and tomography certifications a bonus.
