Job Description

Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) is a multidisciplinary research institution engaged in science and engineering on behalf of national security. We are seeking an experienced Reliability Engineer to oversee the plant’s operations and focus on loss elimination and risk and life-cycle asset management. We will rely on you to help cut costs while minimizing the risk of failure in equipment and processes.


Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited institution and minimum 3+ years practical work experience
  • Knowledge of engineering systems and calculations and applications of engineering methods and technology-aided engineering tools
  • Experience with Reliability, Availability, Maintainability and Inspectability (RAMI) analysis and engineering practices
  • Knowledge of engineering maintenance techniques, construction methodologies and work planning and control methods
  • Working knowledge of industry, regulatory or Department of Energy/National Security Administration (DOE/NSA) codes and standards
  • Advanced knowledge of engineering principles and procedures, design guides and appropriate standards
