The role of Director, Corporate Asset Reliability will foster a culture that promotes overall equipment efficiency. This role will be critical in implementing organizational structure, systems, tools and technologies that promote a proactive approach to maintenance. The incumbent will work with many functional corporate and plant management groups to develop and manage the organization’s unified asset management strategy with goals to maintain defined performance metrics and promote overall continuous improvement.
• Develop, communicate, and sustain uniform policies across all facilities that details:
- Strategic improvement implementation plans
- Key performance indicators (KPI) definitions and standards related to equipment reliability and organization objectives
- Standard planning and scheduling processes that increase reliability and maximize overall equipment effectiveness (OEE)
- Corporate Maintenance, Repair and Operations (MRO) materials management strategies
- Audit processes and practices
• Collaborate with various departments (e.g. Corporate and Plant Engineering, Plant Management, Plant Maintenance, etc.) to create, communicate, implement and execute effective and efficient plans and processes regarding the following non-inclusive area list:
- Plant maintenance work processes including but not limited to:
- Variable frequency work planning
- Unit/Plant outage
- Appropriate system configuration and use (e.g. Computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), MP2)
- Continuous improvement initiatives
- Project overview and oversight
• Review critical asset performance to mitigate risk and improve facility performance standards, operating effectiveness and efficiency
• Develop capital renewal plans (deferred maintenance) based on projected asset life for all facilities
• Develop and manage a corporate maintenance budget to ensure optimized spending to achieve the agreed-upon capacity and asset reliability
• Develop and implement planned maintenance and predictive program that may or may not impact capital budgets
• Monitor Repair and Maintenance (R&M) spend at sites and collaborate with local team to manage spends to budget
• Develop and execute training development programs designed for all employee levels including executive leadership
• Create and disseminate ad hoc and regular reporting including but not limited to:
- Reliability measurements and achievements
- Benchmarks internal activity against external sources to identify opportunities for improvement
- New industry developments and techniques
• Leverage and grow strategic vendor partnerships
• Other duties as assigned by the supervisor
