Mgr Reliability 

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead Reliability organization;
• Ensure Reliability programs and process are documented and implemented this includes asset criticality, FMEA, equipment strategies, spares strategies, lubrication program, predictive maintenance programs, defect elimination, etc;
• Ensure Mechanical Integrity programs are documented and implemented, including all applicable inspections and equipment condition monitoring;
• Accountable for identifying equipment reliability improvement opportunities consistent with business needs;
• Accountable to establish and track appropriate equipment reliability KPIs and deploy resources to facilitate necessary improvements;
• Coach, mentor and develop Reliability Engineers, Mechanical Integrity Engineers, Inspectors and Reliability Technicians consistent with individual career objectives and business needs;
• Facilitate creation of IDPs and personal goals, conduct performance evaluations;
• Lead Planning organization Accountable for creation and maintenance of work planning standards consistent with company requirements;
• Ensure work orders are planned according to accepted standards;
• Utilize appropriate Planning KPIs to track performance of organization and identify areas for improvement;
• Coach, mentor and develop Planners consistent with individual career objectives and business needs;
• Facilitate creation of IDPs and personal goals, conduct performance evaluations;
• This position leads the Reliability organization that includes Reliability Engineering, Mechanical Integrity Engineers, Inspectors and Maintenance Planners at the Kansas City site;
• The site includes two active ingredient manufacturing plants, a waste treatment and incineration operation, a utilities operation and three large Key Tasks: formulations and packaging plants;
• The site has a $30M annual maintenance budget and produces in excess of $3B in annual revenue.

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or similar field;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
• Strong decision making and problem solving skills;
• Computer proficiency in Windows based software;
• Lead multi functional teams;
• Strong safety ethic and mindset;
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment as a leader/facilitator and team member;
• Strong leadership skills, including the ability to drive change, influence without authority, and to model the Bayer LIFE (Leadership, Integrity, Flexibility, and Efficiency) values are vital for success in this role.

Preferred qualifications:

• 10 years of relevant Engineering experience;
• Working knowledge of applicable codes and methodologies is preferred (OSHA PSM, ACA/FMEA, API, etc.);
• Maintenance/Reliability professional certification;
• Managerial experience demonstrating proficiency in selection and people development.
