Essential Job Functions: A highly customer service oriented position that is supervised by the Manager of Grounds. This position is responsible for executing tasks to fulfill the diverse need our growing campus environment to include, driver duties to fulfill the needs of FMS Transportation requests, skilled in the technique of fulfilling moving requests, light bulb maintenance, assist with grounds maintenance duties. This position must have a positive work attitude and have excellent verbal communication skills. The position requires a person who encounters change willingly and maintains a positive customer service attitude. Performs the duties of driving a Goucher College vehicle, to fulfill the requests by our campus community of the Facilities Management Services transportation department.
As assigned, inspects designated area of campus buildings for lights that are out and replaces bulbs/lamps accordingly to make repair.
Perform the duties of fulfilling diverse requests for disassembling, assembling, moving and transporting furniture and various types of office equipment to complete assigned work order. Furniture includes, but is not limited to tables, chairs, desks, beds, dressers, ward robes, boxes, lights, and various types of office equipment and furniture to complete assigned work orders.
Perform the duties of assisting in the maintenance of the campus grounds including but not limited to trash clean up, removal of debris, limbs, leaves from the grounds, planting of flowers, trees and shrubs, weed removal out of beds, cleaning drains and keeping rain spouts of flat roofs free of debris, athletic field maintenance and snow removal as required. Other Duties as assigned.

The position directly affects the effectiveness of Facilities Management Services and the College community as a whole. This position requires face-to-face telephone and written communication with various levels of the college community and outside agencies. Communications range from simple exchange of information, to requests for assistance or service, to inquiries related to proposed work or work-in-progress. Body movements: Depending on task assignment there is frequent standing, walking, bending, carrying, pushing and pulling. With occasional kneeling, climbing and working with arms extended above should height.

Information and directions are given primarily verbally. The coordination and review of work are the responsibility of the incumbent. All duties are performed within the scope of the department as well as, other applicable guidelines. Other Skills, Abilities, Qualifications: Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize. Professional phone etiquette. Attention to detail; ability to work under time pressure; ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and with frequent interruptions; diplomacy; discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information.
