About Us and the Role:

The Jasper, a luxury Class A community in Charleston, SC, has an immediate opening for the position of MULTI-FAMILY MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR. We are looking for someone to handle and supervise the maintenance duties for this 219 unit multi-family apartment community. The multi-family maintenance supervisor should be able to lead and delegate tasks to a team. The supervisor should also strive to provide effective and efficient service in order to ensure resident satisfaction.

Responsibilities of the Multi-Family Maintenance Supervisor:

  • Preventative, corrective, and emergency maintenance to ensure a safe and comfortable property for residents
  • Complete wide variety of maintenance functions, including carpentry, dry wall, masonry, etc.
  • Lead maintenance team through training and supervision 
  • Monitor and conduct pool maintenance
  • Perform and assign plumbing, roofing, and electrical repair tasks
  • Complete all necessary tasks to prepare the property for new residents as units turnover, such as walk throughs and inspections
  • Review and confirm that work orders are completed and meet quality standards
  • Respond to maintenance requests in a quick and professional manner
  • Monitor upkeep of equipment, such as HVAC units, electrical, and appliances
  • Must adhere to Fair House laws

Education and Experience:

  • High school education or equivalent
  • 5-7 years in the areas of HVAC, carpentry, dry wall, pool maintenance, appliances, plumbing, masonry, roofing, and electrical repair
  • Good working knowledge of OSHA standards
  • Must have previous supervisory experience in directing the work activities of maintenance and housekeeping personnel

  • Strong organizational skills in order to keep track of work orders and resident follow-ups
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in fast paced environments
  • Excel in the area of Resident Relations by appropriate and professional conduct
  • Work cohesively with co-workers and residents
