As an Inventory Management Specialist at PureField Ingredients, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing our inventory operations. You will play a vital role in ensuring efficient stock control, accurate tracking, and seamless inventory flows. Your expertise in inventory management techniques, strong analytical skills, and attention to detail will be instrumental in maintaining optimal inventory levels while minimizing costs.
Responsibilities:
· Report directly to the Maintenance Manager and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support inventory management efforts.
· Oversee and manage the spare parts inventory, ensuring adequate stock levels and timely replenishment.
· Control, track, and document the flow of supplies and parts into and out of inventory.
· Assist the Maintenance Coordinator in building preventive maintenance schedules and work orders.
· Work closely with operations and maintenance personnel to maintain spare part inventories, build job kits, and utilize the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
· Generate daily, weekly, or monthly reports to monitor inventory status, identify trends, and propose improvement measures.
· Update and maintain equipment history records through the CMMS and equipment history files.
· Provide input and support to the maintenance and reliability team, purchasing department, and operations department.
· Conduct routine cycle counts to ensure accurate inventory management.
· Ensure all necessary parts are on hand and staged for planned shutdowns.
· Track and provide meaningful measures to improve the planning department's efficiency and craft personnel's productivity.
· Collaborate with the maintenance team to develop and maintain a documented maintenance inventory for all plant equipment.
· Utilize proficient computer skills necessary for inventory-related tasks and utilize inventory management software.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Proven experience in inventory management, preferably in a manufacturing or maintenance environment.
· Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends.
· Proficiency in utilizing inventory management software and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
· Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
· Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
· Attention to detail and accuracy in inventory tracking and documentation.
· Knowledge of inventory management best practices and techniques.
· Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
