Job Description

We provide medical and dental insurance for our maintenance employees and their family members. 

We are looking for a talented, experienced individual to join our company as a Maintenance Planner. As part of our team, you will schedule routine, preventative, and emergency maintenance throughout our facilities, using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). Additionally, you will enhance processes across the entirety of our organization, working closely with all departments to determine needs, schedules, and priorities for maintenance personnel. As a planner, you look for opportunities to understand points of failure and eliminate chronic maintenance needs, increasing efficiency across the entire organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES to include the following:

·         Operate the Maintenance Management System to accurately reflect the status of and maintain plant/facility equipment to a high operating readiness condition, including:

o   Add/Modify/Delete assets, and locations, and Preventive Maintenance items,

o   Researches equipment technical manuals and procedures to identify preventive maintenance actions required by OEM.

o   Writes/schedules/modifies preventive maintenance procedures with the assistance of the Maintenance Manager.

·         Prepares reports on productivity, PM vs Non-PM performance, Cost analysis and other identified needs.

  • Perform the duties of the Materials Manager in their absence including:
    • Maintain the Parts/Inventory and Purchases section of the Maintenance Management System up to date.
    • Purchasing and receiving parts needed to maintain Extrusion Department and Facility equipment using established purchasing policies and procedures.
    • Coordinate with Maintenance Technicians to order the correct part(s).
    • Maintaining the spare parts inventory system for the Maintenance Department including conducting inventory, establishing min/max levels for common parts, and integrating with the Maintenance Management System.
    • Staging parts for Maintenance Technicians in a logical and organized manner.
    • Purchase and receive Extrusion Parts Room materials using established purchasing policies and procedures
    • Communicate with the Maintenance Manager the status of parts on order, shipping dates, estimated delivery dates, and other pertinent information.
  • Proactively support McNeely Plastics EHS/SQF/GMP policies and procedures.
  • Use data to predict maintenance needs.
  • Organize spare parts inventories to prepare for emergency or preventative maintenance needs
  • Foster a culture of safety awareness through correct maintenance processes.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager
