REPORTS TO           Director of Operations

 SUMMARY

Assigned by Production Coordinator and/or Director of Operations, requires minimal instruction and moderate supervision to troubleshoot and repair CNC machines, mechanical, minor electrical, and hydraulic equipment. 

 SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES               None

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Execute work involving maintenance skills necessary to assemble, dismantle, replace, install, adjust, repair and otherwise maintain a variety of CNC machinery & equipment
  • Think critically, analyze problems, effectively troubleshoot, repair, align, calibrate, inspect, test, install and maintain machinery, equipment and electrical systems
  • Contribute to PM program and performs preventive/predictive maintenance to maintain up-time on all production related equipment
  • Demonstrate initiative and independent judgment in the design and repair of equipment from drawings
  • Maintain functional knowledge of OSHA Regulations and RCRA requirements as applied to a machine shop environment
  • Support all safety, health and wellness practices, policies and procedures
  • Contribute to a team environment by intently focusing on detail, internal processes and continuous improvement
  • Contribute to own learning and development of the role and future growth opportunities
  • Perform other job duties as required

  • Experience with CNC machines
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to visually diagnose mechanical issues and/or with computer diagnostic equipment
  • Ability to read service and repair manuals

 EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma and/or GED
  • One plus years of experience – maintenance/machine repair and/or vocational schooling
  • Pass a background check and drug test

 PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections
  • Stand and walk for long periods of time
  • Lift, push, pull < 50 pounds
  • Required to have fine motor hand dexterity
  • Sight and visual perception needed
  • Must be able to work safely in a busy, noisy environment with many odors present
