Job Description

OVERVIEW:

The Reliability Manager – MRO (Maintenance Repair & Operating) is an enterprise best practices role focused on standardization and process improvements that drive improved business results across all manufacturing sites. It ensures we have the right quantity of the right parts, in the right location, at the right time, in the right condition and at the lowest overall cost. Key areas include organization and management, training and skills, information systems, data integrity, performance management, storage and facilities, storeroom operations, inventory strategies, user coordination, and procurement coordination. Additionally, this role is responsible for parts master data processes across the enterprise. Ensures projects are turned over to maintenance with all the needed details and information. This position will closely work plant leadership, maintenance and operations teams to implement the associated best practices.

Working Location: Office/Remote Hybrid.  This role is based out of the Lakeville, MN Corporate office

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Own MRO Standards and Processes across the enterprise.
  • Be the champion for MRO best practices across the organization.
  • Drive standardization, improvements and maturity across all plants in organization and management, training and skills, information systems, data integrity, performance management, storage and facilities, storeroom operations, inventory strategies, user coordination, and procurement coordination.
  • Establish KPIs and metrics to ensure standardization and improvements are being realized across the enterprise.
  • Own the MRO assessment process. Assist plants with development of short- and long-term improvement plans.
  • Audit, drive improvements, and provide feedback to plant and corporate leadership for MRO process.
  • Maximize plant asset availability, efficiency, and predictability through implementation of best practices.
  • Create and deliver training across the enterprise.
  • Own standard and process for parts master data. Drive standardization and improvements to drive business results.
  • Participate in the turnover of projects from Engineering to Maintenance to ensure adherence to the MRO processes.
  • Support, manage and lead roll out of best practices across the enterprise.
  • Provide training and technical support in utilization of Hexagon EAM to optimize the MRO work processes.
  • Work with sites and enterprise maintenance reliability team to roll out new processes, functionality, and capabilities in EAM.
  • Function as the liaison between the plant MRO Teams and the EAM basis team to develop new reporting and EAM functionality enhancements as required.
  • Stay abreast of new developments within the MRO materials management field and determine if incorporating these can improve PCB business results.
  • Identify opportunities for improved procurement processes (enterprise parts standardization, vendor standardization, etc.) to implement across the organization to reduce overall procurement costs.
  • Collaborate and share knowledge across all plants.  Coordinate roundtable meetings and networking calls.
  • Work with plants and enterprise maintenance reliability team to roll out new processes, functionality, and capabilities in EAM to improve business results.
  • Support and partner with sites to drive continuous improvement in best practices driving business results.
  • Support cultural improvement in safety, inclusion, and engagement by serving as a role model for Vision/Values/Behaviors.
  • Promote and follow company and safe work practices and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

Education:

  • Four-year degree (or the equivalent work experience) in Engineering, Maintenance, Manufacturing, or related fields strongly preferred.
  • SMRP or other similar certifications are desirable.

Experience:

  • 10+ years plant experience leading and supervising high-performance MRO teams. Maintenance MRO buying, MRO supervision and management experience is desirable.
  • Knowledge of maintenance management principles and best practices including but not limited to work management, MRO, precision maintenance, preventive maintenance, root cause failure analysis, shutdown and contingency planning.
  • Strong background with EAM Systems, Hexagon EAM is experience is desirable.
  • Knowledge and experience managing MRO master data and processes.
  • Fundamental understanding of plant production and packaging processes.
  • Experience in data analysis, identifying performance gaps, and delivering actionable solutions.
  • Experience in developing and delivering training
  • Familiar with business system development, documentation and driving change across plants and enterprises.
  • Customer and project management experience.

JOB ACCOUNTABILITY

Work Structure: Works under general guidance of the Enterprise Maintenance Reliability Leader. Works closely with Maintenance Manager, Engineering Manager, Reliability Leader, Reliability Engineers, OMC, Maintenance Supervisors and Planners. Work is highly independent, collaborative in nature. Must be willing to work occasional altered work schedules to support plants and execute job duties.

Travel: Travel is required to support duties, typically 2-3 trips per month.
