The Office of Facilities Management and Reliability is seeking candidates to fill our Reliability Engineering position(s). This is an opportunity to make a historical difference developing an Asset Management & Reliability Program for the Smithsonian Institution caring for the world’s largest museum complex. Responsibilities Serves as a technical specialist in lifecycle reliability, availability and maintainability (RAM) engineering of assigned facilities systems, to include Electrical, Mechanical, and Structural. Resolves technical problems, arrives at optimum solutions for problems where alternatives in cost, scheduling and engineering methods and materials are available. Reviews and analyzes scientific, engineering and technical literature, books, magazines and reports for recent development of unique, reliability and maintainability methodology for data collection, reduction and analysis.
